Rhoose is a vibrant village with a population of over 16,000. Best known for being the home of Wales' only international airport, Rhoose boasts a primary school, some good shops and small business, great sea views and walks along the South Wales Coastal path. Also the village is well placed for people commuting to Cardiff, Barry and Bridgend who are looking for a taste of village or country life, without the expense associated with many other villages in The Vale. All of which adds up to a pretty diverse group of people who come together to worship at St Peter's.
In St Peter's we aim to be family friendly and have a relaxed style of worship. There is something for every age group. For the very youngest parishoners we have a play area at the back of the chuch where parents and children can play together while still remaining a part of the service and worship. We have a Sunday School which runs along side morning service where children can learn thorugh play about the church and Christianity. And at the end of our services we have a cup of tea (or a glass of squash) and a catch up with each other.
We also have services for alternative styles of worship such as Messy Church, Informal Praise and Worship, Modern Liturgy, Taize, Service of Healing and Bring your Own.
Our morning Eucharist service on a Sunday is at 9.45am and Wednesday at 10.30am. There is also evening worship every Sunday at 6.00pm. We also get together for a coffee and a chat every Saturday at 10.00am.
